Proving to be the latest new addition to the Double Bay Restaurant scene, the widely popular Bondi eatery, China Diner has opened its second diner, with an exciting new menu. 


Catering to young couples and modern families, China Diner offers sophisticated dining without the formality, utilising a playful diner concept to create a fun, energetic venue. The offerings prove to be light, fresh and healthy, incorporating traditional flavours, minus the heavy amounts of salt and sugar to which dominates many Westernised Chinese food. Taking traditional Cantonese back to its fresh and healthy heritage, China Diner consciously delivers a healthier take on Chinese Food.


Combining a heart-felt, home-style approach with a modern interpretation of Cantonese and South East Asian food, they have created a tempting menu that beautifully references the ‘old’ and the ‘new’. China Diner’s menu is designed to be shared, with a comprehensive selection of dumplings and bao including Crispy Pork Bao with apple & carrot kimchi and sriracha mayo and Chicken and Sesame ‘Chiko’ spring rolls with blood plum sauce. There are also a variety of main plates to share including Five Spice Duck Pancakes with hoisin, shallot and cucumber, Masterstock pork belly with chilli, caramel & lime. Whilst the Double Bay venue will offer most of the original Bondi favourites, there will also a few additions including the creative interpretation of a classic Chicken and sweet corn soup, topped with truffle foam.
