CIPRI ITALIAN & BARBETTA

Offering a relaxed yet sophisticated mix of traditional Italian flavours, Paddington locals are spoilt for choice, with two unique dining experiences on offer by the Cipri brothers.

Since opening back in 2010 brothers Carmelo, Anthony and Joe Cipri, launched Cipri Italian which has since then become a local Paddington gem, within the heart of Sydney, offering classic and authentic Italian dining in a sophisticated and contemporary setting. Reflecting the roots of the three brothers, nostalgic photographs and intimate dining reflect the family’s rich history and passion for food. Matched with a genuine atmosphere and outstanding service, guests are guaranteed an enjoyable and memorable experience. Recognised as a “locals favourite”, Executive Chef Carmelo and Head Chef Alessandro Cola strive to showcase the diversity of regional Italian dishes paired with the classics “to create food that speaks to the heart”.

Just metres from the brother’s original restaurant, the new kid on the block, Barbetta proves to be the younger, more spontaneous and playful sibling just recently opened, offering casual all-day dining with an emporium-style café and food store.  Perfect for a casual breakfast, lunch or coffee, an array of exciting modern dishes are on offer including the deconstructed Sicilian Buckwheat Pancake, served with fresh ricotta, figs, choc chip, honey and crushed cannoli or the Polpetta Burger with grilled meatballs, eggplant, tomato, provolone, cos and chilli aioli.

Stocking a selection of speciality Italian products, the gourmet food store is the proves to be the local go to, for truly authentic Italian produce and products. And for those looking to enhance their cooking skills, you are in luck, Barbetta offers a unique experience with weekly cooking, wine and pasta making workshops for the savvy amateur chef.
