What made you decide to launch your blog and online video series "Luxy Theory"?
I learnt about blogging through launching my business “Goodnight Macaroon” four years ago. I started working with bloggers whom had different styles and personalities, which interested me because I appreciate the inspirations. The reason why I wanted to start up Luxy Theory is to remind people that Luxury is not all about expensive things. I aspire to inspire which is why I want to fill my blog with good vibes and precious moments from my personal life as my way of finding happiness and of course incorporating my personal style.
There is so much behind developing my current self and sense of style, it takes life experience to shape oneself and derive and own values and style from that. Luxy Theory is so much more than just showing off my luxury goods which I am of course extremely grateful for, but there is so much more behind just looking good and feeling good. There is a quote that I absolutely love. “Life is too ironic to fully understand. It takes sadness to know what happiness is. Noise to appreciate silence & absence to value presence." Hence, being happy and comfortable with what you have is the ultimate luxury and I want to bring my real life onto screen because I think material things or "luxury" is too easy to obtain these days for many people. We often forget to appreciate things we have, making it hard for people to find happiness. I hope Luxy Theory can be a constant reminder of positive energy filled with love and happiness.
What are you currently inspired by?
I am currently inspired by Alexis Ren & Jay Alvarrez. Seeing this young couple so adventurous and loving reminds me of how simple things can make us happy too!
I am lucky because my partner has the same sense of style and values when it comes to fashion and lifestyle. Our relationship has also become apart to Luxy Theory.
What items are you currently coveting?
My current coveted items: The Dior Reflected Sunglasses, Stella Mccartney Ernest Wool Crest Vest, Equipment Cashmere-blend Tank, Saint Laurent Monogram Cardholder, Suzan Kalan 18 Karat Gold diamond ring, Nicholas Kirkwood Beya Leather Point-toe flats, Frame Denim Le High Skinny Jeans, Miu Miu Madras Mini textured-leather shoulder bag, Delfina Delettrez 18 Karat Gold pearl earings, Larson & Jennings Croc effect Leather and silver plated watch and Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick!
How would you describe luxury?
To me, luxury is not measure by how much monetarily something is, more of how much value it adds to your life. I think Luxury must be comfortable. To make living itself an art, that is my goal. Art is all about creating and just keep making it happen and let others decide whether they like your work. As long as you enjoy your life the way it is, no one can stop you.
What items could you not live without?
My pair of Australian South Sea Pearl Studs, I wear them everyday!
