Undergoing a brand new refresh and refurbishment, the iconic Jonah’s Whale Beach Hotel and Restaurant have created a special weekend hideaway for those looking to get out of the city.
Jonah’s Whale Beach offers guests a unique experience unlike any other, with gourmet dining, luxurious hotel rooms and breathtaking views over Whale Beach. Recently undergoing a refurbishment of its 11 suites, including the opulent Peninsular Room all offer luxe interiors, beautifully crafted furniture pieces and ample space, with views over the Whale Beach Headland.
Designed by Interior Designers Baxter and Thrum, the scheme pays homage to its surroundings, capturing its coastal location and environment with all the luxury comforts of home offering a neutral palette with gold accents, combined with thoughtful touches such as complimentary video on demand offering over 350 movies, free WIFI, USB charger outlets, high pressure walk-in showers, automated curtains, indulgent mini bar with Vittoria coffee machines and coastal artworks by local artists.
As part of the Hotel's refresh, Jonah’s welcomed a new Executive Chef, Matteo Zamboni, launching new menus across the property including an A La Carte and Degustation menu along with in-room dining, terrace and function menus. Italian born Matteo Zamboni’s impressive career has included him opening his own restaurant Zambo in Surry Hills, prior to that, he worked at 2 Hatted Pilu in Freshwater as Head Chef, 2 Hatted Ormeggio at the Spit, 3 Hatted Quay Restaurant Sydney, 3 Michelin Star RyuGin in Tokyo and Head Chef for the royal family in Qatar, Doha. “With so many loyal diners and people who have incredible memories of dining and staying at Jonah’s, I’m excited to add my own influence to the menu" stated Matteo.
