Coming to fame twenty-five years ago and now recognized as one of the world’s most sought-after photographers, Juergen Teller is well-known for mixing both contemporary culture, commercial photography and art within his practice, and recently his works have been curated within an exhibition names “Enjoy your life” co-produced by Galerie Rudolfinum with Bundeskunsthalle Bonn and Martin Gropius Bau in Berlin.

Blurring the boundaries between his commissioned and personal work, eliminating distinctions between his fashion campaigns, celebrity portraits, everyday scenes, landscapes or pictures of his family. Teller owes his unmistakable signature style mainly to the creative freedom he has acquired, even when working for commercial clients.

‘Enjoy Your Life!’ is a unique author project, created by the artist, which features older series such as Nürnberg (2005), together with more recent series such as Kanye, Juergen and Kim (2015), and Charlotte Rampling, a Fox and a Plate (Teller) (2016). Other works are more autobiographical and occasionally anecdotal such as the unsparingly candid images of himself in The Clinic (2015) and subjective documentations of his engagement with his youth and his German origins such as Irene im Wald (2012). The latest series, Mit dem Teller nach Bonn and Plates/Teller (2016), seem to bring together and concentrate all his earlier themes and compositions.
