SIRIUS PENTHOUSE EXHIBITION BY COHEN FREEMAN AND FREEMAN GALLERY
In a recent collaboration, Cohen Freeman has joined forces with leading international gallery FREEMAN Gallery to unveil the Sirius Penthouse, an expansive private interior design commission project that epitomises luxury and sophistication. Spanning across two full-floor levels with breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour, this one-of-a-kind private home showcases an unparalleled selection of collectible design pieces and fine art.
The Sirius Penthouse features a world-class array of priceless fine art, curated from across the globe, alongside bespoke furniture, artisanal design pieces, Italian bedding, fine china, and crystal. This curated gallery display is designed to offer a turn-key living experience for the new purchaser with the option for the apartment to be sold furnished and ready to move in with all elements considered down to the cutlery, towelling, bedding and even a million-dollar wardrobe styled by global concierge ThreeOverSix.
The design approach focuses on monochrome styling complimenting the interior architecture by London-based Kelly Hoppen, emphasising texture to invite depth into the space. By combining natural sleek textures and clean lines, Cohen Freeman and FREEMAN Gallery have created environments that feel both intentional and luxuriously appointed. Each element is meticulously selected to enhance the overall sense of opulence and refinement. Ready for its new occupier, the Sirius Penthouse exemplifies the remarkable collaboration between Cohen Freeman's design expertise and FREEMAN Gallery's curatorial excellence.
We spoke with FREEMAN Gallery founder, Jack Freeman, about the future of turn-key living and the role of pop-up galleries in the collectible design market.
How do you envision the evolution of turn-key living spaces in the next decade? What are some key features or amenities you believe will become essential in turn-key residences?
In my opinion, Turn-Key is the future of buying and selling luxury real-estate. At this level, globally buyers expect hotel-level amenities that go beyond just the general areas and into their properties. Increasingly time-poor individuals who travel regularly and have multiple homes want the ease of moving in without the hassle and Cohen Freeman solves this problem. With a dedicated team of specialists we curate all elements to perfection adding immense value to the final sale price of the seller.
How do pop-up gallery displays contribute to the selling and promotion of collectible design pieces, and what impact do they have on buyers' perceptions?
The world of collectible design has reached new heights this year and pop-up galleries allow us to not only showcase spectacular art and design pieces in an equally spectacular environments but also for the developer/buyer who sells the apartment to new buyers who can then visualise how it can all come together with the added option of buying it as per the display as well as also the customisation options available to make it their own.
Can you highlight the emerging designers or movements that are making an impact in the collectible design space?
I am inspired daily by the incredible breadth of artisans emerging from all over the world. Within the Penthouse we are excited to have on display to name a few, Pierre Augustin Rose, Paul Mathieu, Christian Woo, Maxalto, Herve Langlais, Sanayi313, Terry O'neill, Dylan Farrell Design, Christian Liaigre, Christopher Delcourt, Henry Wilson and Henryk.
