THE CLIFT, SAN FRANCISCO

Designed by the famed architect and interior designer, Phillipe Starck, The Clift San Francisco proves to be one of the city's coolest hot-spots.

To the eye, the Clift Hotel, bordering San Francisco’s NOLITA could easily be mistaken for another historic corporate building, but once entering the two storey glass doors off Geary Street one is immediately transported into a fantasy world of old glamour, pop and pure fun. The soaring lobby features an oversized chair and pieces by Roberto Matta, Salvador Dali and Ray and Charles Eames.

The hotel's signature Bar, Redwood Room rich with history proves to be one of the cities hottest bars, offering a sophisticated ambience alike none other.

The rooms and suites, inspired by yacht cabins and the digital age, feature a minimal colour palette of lilacs and orange, with soft furnishings, wheelbarrow style chairs and fur throws and cushions. Attracting locals, the hotels Jean Georges Grill, Public Kitchen and various bars prove to make the Clift San Francisco a must-visit and an Icon in itself.
