Located in the heart of Paddington Sydney, sits a cool new restaurant offering a touch of luxury to Sydney's restaurant scene, with an innovative Modern-Australian menu and an exciting cocktail and curated wine list.


Once the housing stables for a leather and blacksmith, the historic sandstone building creates a buzzing atmosphere that is both charming and sleek after undergoing a chic makeover, the sympathetic approach to the building has resulted in a unified palette of polished concrete, marble, brass and leather. Ideal for drinks and sharing, the menu developed by Executive chef Thomas Gripton (formerly Bentley Restaurant and Bar and Restaurant Hubert) has crafted a menu that draws from his passion of the sea and land. Thanks to a long-time relationship with some of the finest local providores has resulted in dishes featuring only the finest meat and seafood.


With a range of exciting share plates such as fresh Sydney Rock Oysters, Tomato, Burrata and San Daniele Prosciutto or the Black Angus Tataki guests can relax and unwind at the bar before then proceeding to dinner. Signature mains include a John Dory fillet featuring smoked eel & carrot broth as well as Slow cooked pork jowl with garlic yoghurt, celery ribbons and crisped black rice and nori.


Offering lunch, dinner and drinks six days a week, The Stables Restaurant and Bar creates the ambience of a neighbourhood restaurant coupled with great food and incredible service – taking the stiffness of fine dining with an offering that makes everyday special.
